Cowboy Payday was featured in the May/June 2023 Art of the West magazine.  See it HERE.

Cowboys will never get rich riding for the brand. They don't work for the money, if they did, the lifestyle would have died out long ago. But there are still plenty of them around, though not as many as there once were. When I asked one why they worked so hard, day in and day out, for almost no money, he smiled slyly and waved his arm to the surrounding countryside and said, " "cause every day is payday." I had to laugh, because being an artist who loves doing what I do, I can really relate to that!

If you made your living as a cowboy on the back of your horse, you could never expect to get rich. But for the kind of person that chose this way of life, spending your days in wide open Nature, you got paid in sights that were much more valuable than just money.
